A New Chapter of Red (Taylor’s Version)

Red TV: Could You Be The One?

Last week Taylor Swift released a new chapter of her Red (Taylor’s Version) era called Red TV: Could You Be The One? It includes songs like “Starlight (Taylor’s Version),” “State Of Grace (Taylor’s Version),” “Treacherous (Taylor’s Version),” and much more. There are 6 songs in this new chapter. These are not new songs, but rather rerecorded versions of her old hits.

My favorite songs in this new chapter are “Message In A Bottle,” “Treacherous (Taylor’s Version),” and “State Of Grace (Taylor’s Version).” I think she picked some good songs for her EP. “Everything Has Changed (Taylor’s Version)” is her song with her best friend, Ed Sheeran. Sheeran is another singer from the UK. He met Taylor when they both went to a songwriting session in Phoenix, Arizona. At the session, they ate burgers together and became good friends.

Taylor released four chapters for her last re-released album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), so it is not new for her to release chapters. However, nobody knew about this new chapter because she didn’t promote it. She didn’t even post about it on Instagram. Nobody knows why or how, but some people still knew about it. For example, people somehow knew about it on TikTok. I found out about it there.

One of the songs on the new chapter, “Message In A Bottle,” is about a long distance relationship. It is rumored to be about Connor Kennedy because Swift and Kennedy dated in the summer of 2012, which is when she wrote this song. It talks about green eyes and freckles, which is what he has. It has never been heard before until now because it is a song that her record label didn’t let her release. Now, she released all her old songs from the vault on her re-released albums. “Everything Has Changed” also has lyrics about green eyes and freckles. This song also references Hyannis Port, which is where Swift and Kennedy spent the Fourth of July that summer.
